WING SUP INSTRUCTOR
The Wing SUP instructor course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to safely introduce Winging to beginners wishing to try and develop their Wing skills in a sheltered water environment.
You will learn how to manage your course and clients in a safe and professional manor through modules covering; essential safety, equipment knowledge, management of wings, and the effective coaching techniques required to instil the confidence, knowledge and skills to set your clients on their
​Winging journey.
You will leave the course able to plan and confidently deliver your winging sessions, while working within the structure of a school or centre.
Those students who do not meet the required standard, will if appropriate, be offered assistant coach status, allowing thus persons to develop under another qualified coach assisting in a centre or school.
Once skills have been consolidated, candidates can present for reassessment.
The course is very hands on with practical training, theory and assessment. Candidates are assessed on their Wing-SUP skills and lesson delivery, followed by a written assessment.
Those who are “at standard” will be awarded the qualification.
If a candidate needs to consolidate skills and present themselves for assessment at a later stage, there will be a reassessment fee of £75.

ABILITY
Candidate to show confident & competent Wing SUP skills, able to turn, both gybe & tack, sail upwind and return to start. Candidate must have a good understanding of wind, weather, tides & sea state.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a good paddle technique and be able to handle their board in choppy windy conditions, both alone and under tow.
Please note this is not a course to develop your own Wing SUP skills, you are expected to be a competent Wing SUPer

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Effective delivery of a coaching session, personal ability and written assessment.

COURSE PREREQUISITES
To enrol on the course;
You must have WSA Membership, SUP Safety & Rescue, Foundation SUP Instructor with a minimum 60hrs of logged guiding, training, instructing (see*note) & hold a min 16hr Outdoor first aid (including drowning) or equivalents.

Powerboat Level 2, VHF.
*note; if 60hrs has not been provided, you will be awarded assistant coach status until the
​ 60hrs has been logged
 
AGE
Minimum age 18
DURATION: 2 DAYS INC ASSESSMENT 
COST: £220 + WSA MEMBERSHIP.

WING FOIL INSTRUCTOR 
The Wing Foil instructor course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to safely introduce Wing Foil to beginners wishing to develop their Wing Foil skills in a controlled environment.
You will learn how to manage your course and clients in a safe and professional manor, through modules covering, essential safety, equipment knowledge, management of wings and foils, and the effective coaching techniques required to instil the confidence, knowledge and skills to set your clients on their Foiling journey.
You will leave the course able to plan and confidently deliver your Wing-foil sessions, while working within the structure of a school or centre.
Those students who do not meet the required standard, will remain Wing-SUP instructors, the candidates will then consolidate skills and confidence ready to present for reassessment.
This course is designed for those who wish to teach Part 2 of the WSA Wing program, Wing-Foil to those competent in Wing-SUP, the course is very hands on with practical training, theory and assessment.
Candidates are assessed on their Wing foiling skills and lesson delivery, followed by a written assessment. Those who are “at standard” will be awarded the qualification.
 If a candidate needs to consolidate skills and present themselves for assessment at a later stage, there will be a reassessment fee of £150.
