Safety & Rescue - providing a basic understanding and practical application of safety considerations and rescue techniques that are vital for anyone going out on the water, dealing with common emergencies in a sheltered water environments; self rescue, towing, incident management, in water rescues.
Journey Planning - learn how to plan your own SUP adventure!
Basic route planning, tide, wind and sea state. We’ll cover what to wear, kit to carry and emergency protocols, allowing you the confidence to progress your paddling.
A First Aid certificate is not a prerequisite. However, holding a First Aid certificate is strongly recommended for all paddlers.
Who is this workshop for?
For any level of Paddleboarder looking for the knowledge and skill sets to keep themselves safe on local sheltered SUP trips, Social group paddles on a local river or canal.
What do we do?
We will work through the planning, kit and safety on land and then move to the water and work through the rescues whilst paddling on a short SUP trip following the route plan.

What do I need to bring?
Your own SUP, Paddle, clothing suitable for the water & conditions, waterproof bag with warm dry clothing, hydration & snacks.
This is not a regulated Workshop and does not include certification
